Terms of Service

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to have an account. One account per person; the information you give us must be true, and you may not pretend to be someone else.

A parent or legal guardian may run junior profiles for players aged 13 to 17 from their own account (section 5). Nobody under 18 may have an account or use one.

You are responsible for what happens through your account. Keep access to your email secure, because that is how you sign in, and tell us at support@alludio.golf if you think someone else has used it. You may not use Alludio if we have suspended or removed you, or if the law prohibits it.

Alludio is a free service that matches players for ranked and casual disc golf matches, helps them meet at a course, records the result and keeps ratings, Levels and a ladder.

Alludio is not a course operator, event organiser, club, coach, referee or employer. We do not own or run the courses, supervise matches, check players' backgrounds, or verify who anyone is beyond their email (and phone, if they add one). Players are not our employees or agents. Matches happen between players, at places and times they agree to.

We may change, add or remove features, and may stop the service, with reasonable notice where we can.

When you ask for a match, Alludio may offer you a match that fits what you asked for. When everyone in it accepts, the match terms — course, layout, time, length, format, ranked or casual — are fixed, and change only if everyone agrees. If you cannot play, cancel as early as you can in the app. Repeatedly accepting and not turning up affects your reliability and who you are matched with, and can lead to suspension.

We try to make good matches but do not promise you will be offered one, or that an offer, course or time will suit you. Accept only what you can actually play.

Alludio connects you with people you probably have not met. You decide whether to accept a match, whether to go, and whether to stay. Please:

• meet only at the agreed course, and keep the match there;
• tell someone where you are going and when you expect to be back;
• leave, and report it, if anything feels wrong — you never owe anyone a round;
• in an emergency, call the local emergency number first.

Disc golf is a physical activity outdoors. It carries risks, including being hit by a disc, slips, falls and other injuries, uneven or hazardous ground, water, wildlife, heat, cold, lightning and other weather, travelling to and from the course, and the conduct of other people. You take part voluntarily, and you are responsible for judging whether you are fit and able to play and whether conditions are safe.

You are responsible for following each course's rules, opening hours, fees and access restrictions, and for having permission to be there. Course details in Alludio may be wrong or out of date; check before you go.

You are solely responsible for your interactions with other players. To the fullest extent the law allows, Alludio is not responsible for the conduct of any player, on or off the course, or for injury, loss or damage arising from a match or meeting arranged through Alludio, except where it is caused by our own gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or where the law does not allow us to exclude it.

If you create a junior profile, you confirm that you are the junior's parent or legal guardian, that the junior is 13 to 17, and that you agree to these Terms on their behalf. You are responsible for the profile and everything done with it.

You must attend every match the junior plays, check in at the course before a result is reported, and stay responsible for the junior throughout. Alludio tells the other players before they accept that a junior is playing and a guardian attends. Profiles for children under 13 are not available.

Follow the community rules. In particular, you agree not to:

• report a false result or score, or confirm one you know is false;
• manipulate ratings — for example by losing on purpose, arranging results, playing under another person's profile, or keeping more than one account;
• harass, threaten, intimidate, stalk or discriminate against anyone, or turn up somewhere other than the agreed course;
• try to find out another player's location, contact details or history, or share anything about another player you learned through Alludio without their permission;
• bet, wager or play for stakes on any match arranged through Alludio;
• use Alludio for anything other than arranging and recording your own play — including advertising, selling, recruiting or dating;
• scrape, copy or harvest data, use bots, interfere with or test the security of the service without our written permission, or get around a block, suspension or limit;
• break the law.

Blocks and reports are confidential. If you block someone, neither of you is offered the other, and they are not told.

Ratings, Levels, the ladder and reliability are calculated by Alludio from finalised matches, as described on the Levels and rules pages. They are our assessments, not facts about you, and they may change: we may correct, void or recalculate results and ratings — for example after a dispute, a report, a mistake or cheating. Casual matches are recorded but never rated. Doubles matches are recorded, and rated only once we announce how.

Alludio ratings and Levels are not PDGA ratings. Alludio is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA), UDisc or any other organisation. A PDGA number or rating you give us is self-reported, shown only to you, and used only to choose your first offers.

Course information comes largely from OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors, Open Database License) and from players, and is provided as is.

When you add or correct a course, report a problem, or write a display name, bio or dispute, you keep any rights you have in it, and you give Alludio a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to use, store, display, adapt and share it to run and improve Alludio. Course information you contribute may be combined with OpenStreetMap data and published under the Open Database License. Only contribute what is accurate and what you have the right to share.

We email you about your account and your matches. You can turn off match emails on the notifications page; sign-in links and messages about your account and these Terms still come.

Alludio match texts are optional. If you add and verify a phone number, you agree to receive automated texts from Alludio about match offers, confirmations, your opponent's arrival, reminders and your requests. How many depends on how often you play. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop and HELP for help, or turn texts off on the notifications page. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Agreeing to texts is not a condition of using Alludio. Your number is handled as the Privacy Policy describes and is never shared for marketing.

Alludio's software, design, name, logo and content belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, revocable, non-transferable licence to use Alludio for your own play, under these Terms. Please do not copy, modify or reverse engineer it, except where the law allows. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without obligation to you.

You can stop using Alludio at any time and delete your account from your account page.

We may warn you, limit your account, cancel your matches, suspend or remove you if we reasonably believe you broke these Terms or the community rules, put someone at risk, or exposed Alludio to legal risk. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you why. Finished matches stay in other players' records.

Sections 4, 8, 10 and 12–15 continue after your account ends.

Alludio is free and is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises or warranties, express or implied — including of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement — and we do not promise that Alludio will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, that you will be offered a match, that course, daylight or travel information is accurate, or that any player is who they say they are or will behave well.

To the fullest extent the law allows: Alludio is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, opportunity or goodwill; and our total liability for all claims about Alludio or these Terms is limited to one hundred US dollars (US$100).

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by our negligence where that cannot be excluded, or for fraud. If you live in the European Union, the United Kingdom or another place whose consumer laws give you rights that these Terms cannot change, those rights still apply.

You agree to compensate Alludio for reasonable costs and losses (including legal fees) caused by your breach of these Terms or your conduct towards other players, to the extent the law allows.

If you have a problem with Alludio, write to support@alludio.golf first; most things can be sorted out quickly. If we cannot resolve it within 30 days, either of us may bring a claim.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Claims must be brought in the state and federal courts located in Pennsylvania, or in a small-claims court where you live if it has jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living outside the United States, you may also bring a claim in the courts where you live, and the mandatory consumer protections of your country apply.

Disputes about a match result or rating are handled under the community rules, not this section.

We may update these Terms. We will change the version and date at the top and, for a change that matters, tell you in the app or by email before it applies; if you keep using Alludio after that, the new Terms apply. If you do not agree, you can delete your account.

These Terms, the community rules and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about Alludio. If a part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a part, we have not waived it. You may not transfer these Terms; we may transfer them to a successor who takes over Alludio.
